FAQs
1-What is the difference between fine and coarse bulgur?
Fine bulgur (No.1) softens after a short soak, so it is used for tabbouleh and kibbeh. Coarser bulgur holds its shape when cooked, which makes it better for pilaf and stuffings. Check the product title to see which grade you are buying.
2-How should dried grains and pulses be stored?
Store them in a cool, dry place in sealed containers, away from light and moisture. Keep seeds airtight to protect their natural oils. Check the best-before date and use older stock first.
3-Do dried chickpeas need soaking?
Whole dried chickpeas are usually soaked overnight in plenty of water, then simmered until tender. Soaking shortens the cooking time and gives a softer result. Split chickpeas cook faster and are often used in stews.
4-Do you sell by the carton?
Yes. Many grains and pulses are sold in cartons of 10 or 12 x 1kg bags, and the carton size is shown in the product title.
