Choose rice for your recipe

Match the type of rice required by your recipe with the variety named on the bag. Use the preparation directions on the supplied packaging for this rice, rather than transferring a cooking method from a different grain type.

The packaging includes a serving suggestion. The bag supplies rice; any additional ingredients shown as part of a prepared dish are separate ingredients for your recipe.

Plan kitchen quantities

Use the uncooked rice weight when calculating recipe quantities. A recipe using 500g would use one twentieth of the 10kg bag. The complete bag supplies twenty such recipe quantities.

Finished-food yield depends on the recipe and preparation method. Keep dry rice weight separate from cooked dish weight when planning supplies. Use your kitchen’s own records to estimate when you will need another bag.
